Year 10

Pupils starting key stage 4 at Murray Park have a dedicated year team to ensure that they have the support needed to succeed in their GCSE’s. Y10 tutors deliver a program that includes pupils completing their personal achievement folder, needed in Y11 along with thoughts for the week and reading support to aid their English language GCSE. Tutors have regular communication with home to make sure Y10 pupils continually move towards reaching their target grades.

Pupils in their final year at Murray Park have a dedicated year team to ensure that they have the support needed to succeed in their GCSE’s. As pupils leave Murray Park to a range of Post 16 opportunities different levels of provision is offered throughout the year. These include Careers and guidance, coursework sessions and revision. This has already begun in the summer term of Y10. Every Y11 pupil will be assisted by the Y11 team so that they get individualized support in their final year.

Forthcoming special events for the year

During this year there will be lots of opportunities for parents and carers to support their child by attending a range of events including looking at post 16 options and how to help with revision support. Exams usually start in the second week of May so pupils have 29 weeks left of school. At the end of the year we celebrate the ending of the pupil’s time at Murray Park School with a school prom.
